Priority Fund Raising offers a wide variety of fund raiser ideas including product brochures candy, magazines, and discount cards.
Brochure Sales
Brochures generally show a variety of products from which you can order. Some are smaller single product type programs (i.e. candle brochures) while others are more like a large catalog that offers a wider variety of products.
Types of Brochures
Take Order
- Seller shows brochure to friends and family
- Customer orders an item
- Customer pays when the product is delivered
Advantages
- People can buy now and pay later. People love buying on credit. Besides, if you ask them to pay for the product on the spot, they may have to say no. On the other hand, when you tell them it will be 2-3 weeks when you return with the product, they have plenty of time to get the money together and may order more now.
- Higher price means higher dollar volume, resulting in higher profit.
Pre-Pay
- Seller shows brochure. Customer orders and pays for product.
- Seller delivers product to the customer when it is available.
Advantages
- Get 100% of your money
- Avoid having to track down those who have not turned in money.
Brochure sales will work with any size group. Our company does not have a minimum size group. Brochures work especially well with younger groups, including day cares, because we can prepare a package to go home and, especially in the younger groups, the parents are involved with the selling, not the children.
Because we are a full service fundraising company, we can make the work easy for you. For example, we can provide you with cover letters, personalized order forms (seller names already printed on the order form), and if you are in an area where we have a rep, we can come in and make an exciting and effective kick-off presentation to the group. If you are conducting a pre-pay sale, we can provide money collection envelopes, personalized if you like.
Then, we can tally those orders when they come in and provide you with excellent record-keeping materials that tell you who owes or sold what, prize level reached, prize selected and more. We can provide personalized collection envelopes for order-taking sales, or packing slips for pre-pay sales.
We take the bulk product and package each individual seller's order and get the product to you organized for easy distribution. We can even pack the prize with the product or include labels that tell you who gets what prize . . . and more. Take a look at our current brochures.
Candy Sales
Candy is easy to sell because almost anybody will buy a candy bar. It is easy to know exactly how much profit you get every time you sell a case. Just be sure you order what you are confident you will sell. You do not want your profit sitting in the closet as unsold product.
Advantages:
- One trip vs. a trip to take orders and another to collect the money.
- Low price.
- Easy to sell.
- Faster.
Direct Sale candy is good for high school groups, small groups, or for when you need to raise money quickly. Priority Fund Raising is a distributor for both Hershey's Chocolates and M&M/Mars, so we offer the best of the name brand world. Choose between $.50 and $1.00 product and between straight cases (all one item in a case) or variety boxes. Take a look at our candy sales.
We also have Lollipops available. These suckers come in a variety of shapes and flavors. Check out our Lollipops.
Depending on when you call, delivery can be very quick, or if we have to order product for you, it could take 1-2 weeks for delivery.

Super Discount Cards
A Super Discount Card looks and feels like a credit card. On the card there will be 12-15 ads from local vendors offering specials, such as a percentage off an order, or free fries with a large sandwich. Most groups retail the card for $5.
Advantages:
- Cards sell well in the high school, especially if the restaurant and pizza place near the school are on the card.
- $5.00 is a reasonable price.
- A really great deal for the end customer. For example, if there is a $3.00 discount for an oil change and the consumer changes oil twice a year, then they have more than paid for the card.
- Promote your group in the community. Your name and logo (in your colors) are displayed on the front of the card.
Plan on having the card in your hand approximately a month after making the decision to proceed.
Discount cards are fantastic for booster groups, such as Athletic or Music boosters. There is a minimum of 250 cards (there are additional fees for ordering less) and you may not return any cards for credit (it's a personalized product). Order only what you are confident you can sell. Re-orders can be printed and delivered quickly. Learn more about our Super Discount Cards.
Magazine Sales
There are several differences between a magazine sale and direct sales or other brochure sales.
Advantages
- It is a pre-pay sale, so you get your money upfront.
- There is only one trip to the customer.
- You never touch product.
- The prices in the catalog are the same as what the customer would find inside any magazine - not a typical inflated fundraising price that contains the built-in donation to the group.
- Since magazine subscription prices are generally higher than most products on a brochure, you make more money per sale.
- Everybody reads magazines.
- People who already have a subscription can continue that subscription through you.
